Free wheel coupler for accumulating conveyor pallet

The motors of accumulating conveyors are under stress, because they are not only used for driving the pallets. Rather, the motor has also to compensate the friction of the standing pallets.

In the proper sense the accumulating conveyor is an energy dissipation machine.

This does not only cost electricity, but also leads to a continuous wastage of the friction elements – as you would drive a car with slipping clutch all time.

Whereas the new APM accumulating conveyor is uncoupling!

Each pallet has a coupler element that activates a free wheel when driving on the stop or on the next pallet.
