Alpha – Clamp with Enhanced Safety

The conventional ALPHA Clamp is equipped with power curve and adjusting function – therefore it can compensate e.g. different sheet metal thicknesses.

However, this is also a disadvantage as this mechanism does not permit beyond dead centre lock. The new solution, the “B”-version of the Alpha clamp, is equipped with a mechanically operating braking system, effective towards the direction “open”.

In the event of a sudden compressed air supply failure, the clamp arm movement in direction “open” is prevented. Therefore the closed position is mechanically secured.
