APM Conveying Technology

We have heard from some customers that there is a little uncertainty with regard to the succession to the Spanish company specializing in conveying technology AUTOMATISMOS PROYECTOS Y MONTAJES, S.A., or APM. To make things clear:

 

As from July 28, 2011, TÜNKERS took over the activities in the field of conveying technology of the Spanish company APM located in Viladecans by means of an asset deal.

 

The acquisition comprised the technical expertise as well as all registered patents and all technical design documents including production drawings, all of which were taken over by our subsidiary TÜNKERS Iberica. We recruited experts in engineering, design and production in order to provide the expertise required. In addition, the TÜNKERS Group committed itself to maintaining 50 jobs in the long term. In the meantime, the APM organisation was merged with TÜNKERS Iberica at the new location in Barcelona and the original product range has been developed further continuously. 

 

To put it straight, TÜNKERS alone is entitled to use the product name APM. 

 

It is also true that some replicas of APM conveyor belts are being offered in the market which hardly look any different than the APM originals, but do not have the technological features of APM. Unfortunately, we cannot take legal action against these competitors as industrial property rights have been protected only to a limited extent in conveying technology. On the other hand, these lively reproduction activities also indicate that the APM accumulating conveyor has set new standards in the automotive industry and is taken as a technical reference.

 

Since the takeover in 2011, TÜNKERS has continuously developed the APM technology further and provided the market with new innovative solutions in the field of conveying technology protected by new patents.
