Motor terminal TMI replaces pneumatic valve island
Using electric clamps makes valve islands a thing of the past. They are replaced by the motor terminal from Tünkers, which serves as a bus hub, processes the sensor signals of the clamps as well as 8 component sensors and takes care of the motor management of the electric clamps. The configuration as an 8-slot module (4- and 16-slot versions are planned) means that Tünkers motor terminals may be tailored to the individual requirements in the gripper mechanism or conveyor belt.

Motor Terminal TMI Specs
- Power supply for 8 clamps (engine performance and sensor)
- Integrated bus interface (Profi-Bus, Profi-Net, Ethernet, IP, etc.)
- Moving single electric clamps or groups,
- Motor island provides the tact cascading to prevent voltage peaks of the engines independently of the PLC
- Control and feedback of e-clamp position to higher-level PLC
- The CPU is relieved and the positioning is done in a timely manner without influence of the CPU cycle time.
- Display for status of the e-clamp
- Pre-selection and control (open/close) of the clamp with arrow keys
- 4 additional M12 connectors for up to 8 additional initiators or photocells
