Carbon grippers in manufacturing

In addition to the aluminium modular system for gripper systems, TÜNKERS also offers a compatible carbon modular system that allows for lightweight and very stable gripper systems.

With the newly developed carbon robot bracket we call “Stingray”, we can produce grippers with a total weight of only 30 kg which handle a component weight of 115 kg. This proportion of 1:4 means no less than an inversion of the usual proportion of gripper and component weight in body construction. The first grippers including “Stingray” have already been used successfully in an automotive plant in Brazil. However,  the carbon components are not only used in gripper technology, but in all areas where lightweight and modular structures are required.
